Auguste Moreau
1834-1917
Artist and sculptor Auguste Moreau continued an artistic heritage in the footsteps of his father sculptor, Jean-Baptiste Moreau.
Born in Dijon, France, the younger Moreau's bronzes were exhibited at the Salon de Beaux-Artes in Paris from 1861 through 1931. Auguste Moreau's graceful and romantic style of bronze figurines have propelled him to be highly prized by collectors around the world.
